Challenge Race

This year, the Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta will be holding its first Challenge Race.
The Challenge Race is a yacht vs yacht race that will take place on Thursday 18th of June from 1200 and is open to all yachts taking part in the SCYR in the Spirit of Tradition (SoT) and Classic Yacht categories. We decided to include a Challenge Race for Classic and SoT yachts as a dry run to open participation to all classes from next year.

Each pair racing will sail a course designed to as a 50-80 minute practice race giving participants a feel for the race course before racing proper begins on Friday.

If you wish to enter you will need to Challenge another yacht that is larger than your own from the list below.

Please call the race secretariat (0030 2104220506) or email us at (sailing@ycg.gr) and let us know if you wish to Challenge another yacht to a one-on-one race. Once a Challenge is logged we will let you know if it has been accepted.

The start times and pairs racing will be placed on the official Notice Board at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel and will be communicated along with the course by Thursday Morning.
